Think of this section as LazyPay’s very own dictionary of words. Use this list as the source of truth for which word or phrase should be used in any user-facing content. This will also help keep consistency across all channels of LazyPay.

Glossary of terms
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Available limit | The maximum amount you may spend within a particular billing period.
The more you spend, the more available limit is used up. Note: If you pay your bill early, your available limit won’t be restored in the same billing period. It will only be restored in the next billing period. |
Credit limit | This is the amount you can spend and repay in a month. This is allocated to you based on your credit score, and is reported to popular credit bureaus. |
Total dues | The total amount that is payable in your current bill. It includes
all billed transactions, a portion of your pending dues (if any) and
your ongoing EMIs/instalments for that month (if any). Tip: You can avoid interest charges in the next bill if you clear all of your total dues. |
Minimum dues | The minimum amount in your bill you must pay to avoid late fee charges. |
Billing period | All transactions within your current billing period are counted in
your next bill. Your billing period may be 30 days (1 month) or 15
days.

Billing date | The date on which your bill is generated. This is usually the 1st of the month, (or both the 1st and 16th of the month). |
Due date | The date on which your bill payment is due. This is usually the 3rd of the month, or both the 3rd and 18th of the month. This is the last date by which you need to pay at least the minimum dues on your bill, to avoid late fees. |
Pending dues | Any remaining amount from the total dues from previous bills. Pending dues can be cleared on a monthly basis with added interest, or all in one go. |
Part of pending dues | This is a fixed amount from your pending dues that is payable in your next bill. Usually, there will be an interest charged on this. |
Billed transactions | The total of all your transactions in the last billing period. |
Unbilled transactions | The total of all your transactions in the current billing period. This only includes transactions made after your last bill was generated. |
All transactions | The total amount of all your transactions in the current and last billing period. Includes both billed and unbilled transactions. |
Total limit used | The amount of your monthly limit you have used, and is unpaid till now,
including transactions, pending dues and EMIs. |
Paid | The amount from your current bill that you’ve already paid. |
Unpaid | The amount from your current bill that has not yet been paid. |
Remaining amount | The amount leftover from your total dues after you’ve partially paid your bill. It will be added to your pending dues and must be repaid in future bills, along with interest. |

Late fee | A penalty charged if you miss paying your bill before the due date. Late fees are automatically added to your bill on the 4th of the month. |
Auto-pay bounce charge | A penalty charged when auto-pay fails because of not enough account balance. |
Adjustments | Any amount that will be subtracted from your current bill, like cashback or refunds, is included in adjustments. |
Rewards | Any kind of monetary gain earned by a user. |
Offers | A subset of rewards. A discount being offered on a specific item or brand. |
Cashback | A subset of rewards. A cash amount being returned to a user.. |
